We Don’t Have to Ask for What is

“But He said to me, ‘My Grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 –

This morning as I was reading my devotional from Streams in the Desert, It hit me.  I have been praying for something all my life that I already had.  It already was mine a gift from God.my grace is sufficient

He didn’t say “Pray for my grace to be sufficient”… He said it “My Grace IS sufficient for you, My power IS made perfect in weakness”.

There it is – right in front of me… Prayers that were being answered in my weakness… His presence growing stronger in my weakness… His spirit growing within me in my own weakness.

I have been turning God’s facts into hopes and prayers.  I should have been using them as realities that we, as believers, already possess.

The stronger our belief – the stronger His grace is within us.

I prayed for so many years that I would feel better…
I prayed that God would heal my broken body…
I prayed that He would restore our broken marriage…
I thought He didn’t hear me…
I thought my prayers were not being answered…

Now, I see it was there all along.  I didn’t believe and accept what was already mine – what my ‘Abba’ father had already poured out on me.

“Never turn God’s facts into hopes, or prayers, but simply use them as realities, and you will find them powerful as you believe them.”

  1. I have so enjoyed watching your videos on YouTube. I have 2 “left” hands when it comes to crafting but I so love to try. And watching you and listening to your calm voice on the videos I have learned a lot. I can stop, do what you say, and start again. lol Thank you for following the path God laid out for you. I knew you were a Christian before I ever read your Faith segment on your website. What a blessing.
Thank you for all you do.
